Shamkir Agropark LLC

Shamkir Agropark LLC is the first "Agropark" format agricultural project in the South Caucasus. Based on the directive for the creation of agroparks stemming from the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, dated April 16, 2014, regarding the improvement of agricultural management and the acceleration of institutional reforms, the foundation for the Shamkir Agropark logistics center was laid during the President's visit to Shamkir on November 15, 2014. The opening of the Shamkir Agropark Logistics Center took place on August 20, 2017, with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev.

The complex is a business project designed to operate according to international standards. The activities of Shamkir Agropark are based on modern production, logistics, and sales technologies. The creation of the agropark will play a significant role in increasing the country's export volume and expanding its geographical reach, creating national brands, enhancing the innovative capabilities of small and medium farmers, widespread application of intensive methods, forming a coordinated unified system in the agricultural sector, as well as integrating relationships between producers, processors, and consumers. It will also contribute to achieving high productivity, training qualified personnel in agriculture, and creating new job opportunities.

Additionally, the agropark will facilitate the transition from small-scale individual production to large-scale agro-industrial production, ensuring stable and reliable access to foreign markets, applying innovative technologies, and ensuring consistent quality in the final product through the use of unified standards.

The total area of the agropark is 604 hectares. The first phase of the planned works has already been completed, including the creation of a Logistics Center with a capacity of 24,000 tons, a One-Stop-Shop Complex, a truck park, a parking lot, a helicopter pad, and a laboratory.
